Empowering young girls for a brighter future.
Every month, we intercept around 147 vulnerable young girls at risk of being trafficked. While many return to their families, some can’t due to unsafe conditions or lack of opportunities. By offering a secure place to complete their schooling, we aim to break the cycle of vulnerability and pave the way for a brighter future.
At Every Daughter Matters, we believe every young girl deserves a chance to achieve her dreams. Education is key to empowering Nepali girls to overcome societal limitations. Our new Halfway Home in midwest Nepal offers a safe, supportive environment where these girls can complete their high school education and be empowered to reach their potential.
Our Halfway Home houses 6-10 girls at a time, providing a nurturing environment as they pursue their education.
Stage 1: Two-year scholarship for Year 9 and 10.
Stage 2: Continuation for Year 11 and 12 for those who successfully complete Stage 1 and are considering tertiary education.
The opportunity to be part of a ‘family unit’ under the care of a trained House Parent, learning household responsibilities and essential life skills. It includes mentoring sessions for personal development and career planning.
Participation in key events such as International Women’s Day, Anti-Human Trafficking Day and 16 Days of Activism Against gender-based violence, helps promote awareness of social justice and the sense of giving back to the community.
